Belle And Sebastian + Slow Club

Thursday 15th June 2017

Belle & Sebastian, the legendary indie-pop band, have announced a huge show in the most uniquely charming of settings, London’s Royal Hospital Chelsea, kicking off the summer of 2017 as part of the Live At Chelsea Concert Series.

The Glasgow band, who found fame in the late 90s with their debut album Tigermilk, caused a shock at the BRIT Awards in 1999 by winning Best Newcomers whilst being on an independent label. Nine albums later, the group regularly tour worldwide, and have performed at illustrious venues such as the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles, as well as festivals such as Glastonbury and Latitude.

Along the way, the band’s music has featured in several feature films, which they have also been name-checked in, including ‘500 Days of Summer’ and ‘High Fidelity’. Following the release of their most recent album, ‘Girls n Peacetime Want to Dance’ in 2015, the band were presented with the NME Award for Outstanding Contribution to Music.

Slow Club have been announced as the support for Belle & Sebastian. The indie duo of Charles Watson and Rebecca Lucy Taylor formed Slow Club in 2006, and have gone onto make four unique and distinctive albums, including last year’s ‘One Day All Of This Won’t Matter Anymore’, which saw the pair’s hallmark chemistry take on an Americana influence.

The show will feature a grandstand seating area in addition to a standing floor.
